Thank you for confirming your participation in the Cuvée Grand Tasting.

Cuvée wineries showcase TWO favourite wines within the following categories: white, red, rosé, sparkling or Icewine. Please note that each winery must choose from two DIFFERENT categories.

Just as a reminder, it is important to the integrity of the event that the wines chosen are the winemakers favourite wines. We leave it with the Cuvée contact to discuss with your winemaker the wines you wish to present. We want the story behind your favourite wines to be a clear feature of the event and, in turn, to the consumer and media in attendance. Ask your winemaker, why did you choose these wines? Was it a reflection of the vintage, or perhaps it is an aged wine you want to show, or it’s your favourite varietal and speaks to where it is grown. Let us know by filling in the section – “What inspired you to choose this wine”.

Cuvée Grand Tasting – SATURDAY May 24, 2025

Media Tasting: 6-7:30 p.m. It is expected that the winemaker will represent the winery during this period in order to pour to the media.
VIP Reception and Awards: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Winery representatives are invited to attend the VIP Reception. The Awards presentation will start at 7 p.m.
Grand Tasting: 7:30-10 p.m.
Après Cuvée party: 9:30-12 a.m.
Cuvée en Route – runs from March 29-31, 2024

FINAL INVOICE and CHEQUE EXCHANGE – Option

Wines poured at Cuvee are a donation to the event. However, wineries can participate in an optional cheque exchange.

In order to finalize our accounts we have set a deadline to receive your invoice and reciprocal donation cheque: June 16, 2025. After that date we must close off the books for the event and cannot process any further cheque exchanges.

Wineries will prepare an invoice that matches quantities shown on your post event statement received from Cuvee;
Wineries will send their invoice and a reciprocal donation cheque to Brock University. Payable to Brock University. Attention: Barb Tatarnic, Cool Climate Oenology & Viticulture Institute, Brock University, 1812 Sir Isaac Brock Blvd, St. Catharines, ON, L2S 3A1
Brock University will then issue a cheque and you will receive a Charitable Tax Receipt for your donation cheque.

Would your winery like to have a STUDENT VOLUNTEER to help pour, etc. at your table? Students from Brock's Oenology and Viticulture program as well as Niagara College's Wine program are looking to volunteer and gain valuable experience working with you.*

Students will be given their wineries list of confidential wines in advance so they can familiarize themselves with the wines they will be pouring so they can fulfill their role with confidence.

What inspired you to choose this wine?*
(Sample – This red is considered my personal favourite from the 2023 vintage and it is my first choice to drink when selecting amongst my range of Pinot Noirs. It’s so true to its vineyard name Claystone – with its terroir of clay and limestone. It offers the earthy gaminess that I love. I always enjoy the time I spend in this particular vineyard. I can taste the vineyard when I sip this wine!”)

This portion of the Cuvèe Grand Tasting will run from 9:30 to midnight. We will feature an Icewine and sparkling wine bar. If you produce sparkling, please donate 12 bottles, if not, please donate 6 bottles of Icewine. They will be featured at Après Cuvée and can be included with your table wine shipment.
