2015 Stratus Syrah

It has been a decade since Stratus launched its first bottling of Syrah. Since that time, the three blocs on the farm continue to yield exciting expressions of this rare variety for Ontario. This wine is reflective of classic cool climate Syrah merging bright blue fruits and dark cherry with violets and black pepper. Only 115 cases produced.

2018 Distinctive Small Lot Sauvignon Blanc Fumé

I believe Sauvignon Blanc is one of Niagara’s top white varietals and the 2018 vintage once again proved its worth. I find this Fumé Blanc to be absolutely gorgeous and certainly one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of crafting. It shows a luscious, stone fruit side which intertwines delicately with the elegant, oaky traits lent by the fermentation in seasoned French oak barrels with occasional bâttonage. I can enjoy this wine anywhere, anytime; with anything, or even on its own.

2016 Terroir Cabernet Franc

Another stellar red from an exemplary Niagara red vintage, this 2016 Cabernet Franc is top-shelf and deservedly attains our Terroir designation. It is definitely one of my favs, exuding opulent bramble and spice traits offered by the bold vintage while showing alluring purple violet nuances. Although I have enjoyed this wine solo, it tastes even better with a nice cut of red meat.

2018 Windsock Rosé Cabernet Sauvignon

Creating a full bodied, rich, oak tannin-filled Rosé has always been a desire, however finding the right fruit and vintage was a challenge. Assistant Winemaker Chris Protonentis identified a specific block in a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard that fit the bill. The grapes were harvested early to retain focused red berry notes. After limited skin contact (five days), cool fermentation and eight months in French and American barriques, the wine was bottled in a stunning keepsake bottle. Enjoy at room temperature. It is memorable!

2017 Howard’s Icewine Vidal

As “The Ice Queen,” it is only appropriate that our Cuvée selection includes Icewine! We are so proud of this 2017 that medaled at every international competition where it was entered. Plus, it was awarded Gold at Ontario Wine Awards and was the only Icewine to receive the Lieutenant Governor’s Excellence in Wine Award in 2019. Luscious. Seductive. Opulent. And with just the right balance of acidity, alcohol and sweetness.

2015 Frontier Cabernet Franc

I feel that Cabernet Franc is an exceptional varietal to express the Niagara region. This red in particular is a fantastic expression of what Cabernet Franc can do. By offering a substantial time in new French oak, this wine has intensified in body, depth of flavor, complexity and ability to age. I look forward to what a few years in bottle will bring to
this rich red.

2017 Winemakers Red

2017 was a cooler vintage which required us to be extra diligent in the vineyards. The crop level on our vines is very low and as a result, we were able to create a classic Bordeaux blend. 12 months in barrel adds an extra layer of complexity and structure. Enjoy this wine with hearty dishes and good company.

NV Showcase Brut Nature

This wine is another offering from our Showcase Sparkling line-up. It demonstrates a minimalistic approach to dosage and the final touches of creating sparkling wine. The base wine was so impressive after it finished secondary fermentation and extended lees aging, we decided to not add any dosage. The perfect wine for the perfect occasion!

2017 Showcase Pinot Noir

This wine originates from our Clark Farm vineyard located in Four Mile Creek. The 2017 vintage is special because it is a blend of various Pinot Noir clones (not just our typical 115) to increase complexity and ageability. We utilized natural fermentation and whole cluster fruit to further enhance the intensity of this wine.

2017 Blanc de Franc

This is the second vintage of our unique 100% Cabernet Franc sparkling. It’s my favourite wine to make because it kicks off the estate vintage each year. This wine has the backbone and texture that Cabernet Franc lends to table wines as well as great fruit and freshness. To me, it drinks differently than that of a typical sparkling from Niagara. Cabernet Franc is my favourite varietal in general out of Niagara, and any time I get to play with it, there is always something exciting about it!

2013 Stone Eagle Estate Reserve

Our Stone Eagle wines are our ultra-premium estate-grown red blends. They are one of our top wines from the estate showcasing the best of each vintage. The 2013 Estate Reserve is a blend of 59% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a true reflection of our best barrels after many days of tasting trials. My favourite thing about this wine is it truly gets better each time I try it and will continue to do so for years.
